Friday, May 4th, Heather and I will be attending the Gems and Stems fundraiser for the Calcasieu Women’s Shelter at L’Auberge du Lac. Two of the prints from Heather’s Fine Art America collection will be presented for auction. Hope to see some of you there.

April is about to come to a close, and I am looking forward to the busy summer that I have starting in May. Of course, we’ll be doing the Regatta Restaurant in Lake Arthur on the 12th, but I am very excited that we will be returning to the Mudbug Madness festival in Shreveport, LA.

We will be performing the opening set on Thursday, May 24th from 4:30-7:00 followed by the one and only, Wayne Toups. If you have never been to this event, it is a big one and a fun one. It is well worth the drive.

Myself and the LakeSide Gamblers will be at the Regatta in Lake Arthur, again, this weekend. Come on out and enjoy the good food and great music. We play from 7:00-10:00.

I’ll be helping out Travis Benoit, this Thursday, at DI’s in Basile. It’s always a fun place to play because there are usually some dancers. Looking forward to it.

A last minute cancellation has afforded me the opportunity to fill a spot in this year’s lineup. I’ll be opening up the festival on Friday at 5:00, so y’all come out and have a good time. We’ll be in the Civic Center exhibition hall. Some of the great entertainment lined up for the weekend includes Brandon Ledet and Creole Touch, Damon Troy, Andro Thierry, Rusty Metoyer, Lawrence “Black” Ardoin, Chris Ardoin and Sean Ardoin. Come out for a great time!
